Welcome!

Andrea is an artist based out of Saginaw, Michigan, with over 50 years of art experience. Beginning at the Chicago’s Art Institute and the American Academy of Art in the ’70s, she achieved great success in regional art shows. Using these skills and practical expertise Andrea founded her own desktop publishing business in the early ’90s. For 10 years, Andrea published hundreds of customized illustrations, poster art, and was even an early pioneer in computer-generated logos and brochures; all of which benefited children’s library reading programs, educational institutions, park districts, and a handful of other public clients.

A decade later Andrea completed her Masters’s Degree in Education. She enjoys her new avenue teaching basic painting and drawing concepts with others who enjoy art pursuits. Her interest in pleine air painting keeps her primed by interpreting her surroundings with unique compositions and color harmonies.

Garden walk impressions

Andrea paints with other artists in featured gardens this summer since community gardening with master gardeners did not take place. This unusual tree teased her wits to incorporate into this lovely landscape scene which she gifted to the owner.

Nautical impression

What happens when one major pigment (blue) is missing from your palette? Andrea had fun painting her impression of these boats with whatever yellows and reds she had in her pochade box this day.
